Guest avitt
I don't know about the quality of the replica sets that he sells, but for the same money, you can pick up a genuine vintage crown, and an aftermarket tube on eBay.
cableguy
didnt he say they are genuine?
jdavis
didnt he say they are genuine? His description says "OEM quality". This implies to me that they are not genuine but replicas.
Guest avitt
didnt he say they are genuine? Go back and carefully read the description...It's very tricky wording, but he never claims that the actual items are genuine.
Tribal
The crown and Tube Set from Bodo are damm great... The Tubes came as a lot pack from the Manufacture that sells the genuine ones. I have compared them to a really gen one and they are the same.. Crowns are gen.... I have them on all my Rollies... freddy333
I have purchased several vintage gen crowns on the bay. I got 1 lot of 12 Triplocks (702s & 703s) and a couple of Twinlocks, 1 used (awaiting an MBW 5514/5513)and 2 NOS (destined for Newmans). They show up from time to time. Stephane
Confusion Confusion !!! Tribal and Fred, are the Bodo's crown genuine ? I am saying CROWNS.... Yes the wording is tricky, but yes I would like to know if this is real: genuine (hit 1 on your cellphone) - not genuine (hit 2)... Thanks, Stephane
cableguy
sounds shady.... idk also there are people on tehbay selling "oem" ones in 100packs they split up for 20.00 so who knows. =/
Guest avitt
Every once in a while, watchco-australia will list lots of 50 used Triplock crowns. These lots are typically bought up by resellers like suissetime and jewelerstools, who then sell them individually, or in smaller lots. If you want very nice vintage crowns, check with eBay seller moelarrycu (Mark Greenberg). For tubes, I recommend nostalgia-2000 (Gary Clark, of Clark Watch Parts).
