Justasgood Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 Currently, the 1560 from this watch: Is at my watchmaker's getting all shined and lubed up......but before it went, it spent time with my Gen Dial: Looking like this: Kinda cool Explorer'ish. Here it is next to a Rep of the same: And my Favorite modded Sub: The test fit of the dial and movement into my MBW couldn't have gone any better. The Stem aligns perfectly and the Dial fits as it should.........Just need to find the right hands......anyone? Stay tuned
FxrAndy Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 I love the look in the perpetual case, would love to see the finished project though!
alligoat Posted July 27, 2007 Report Posted July 27, 2007 Maybe a set of gold Submariner hands from www.jewelryandwatch.com/ for $25. Don't know how vintage they will be. Clarks and some of the watch supply places have aftermarket hands to fit the Rolex 1500 series movts, for a little less. If you have to "vintagize" them yourself, a cheap set may be the place to start until you perfect your technique!
