It pains me to say that about a Panerai, but they just missed it on this one. Also the PR with the sliding Reserve indicator. It just does not work for me. Both of these models have way too much going on dial-wise...

You may compare it here: I think we find it ugly just because we all get accustomed with the 090 look. Actually it is neither better nor worse than it. Interesting to notice that this is the less expensive way to make a 090 right-handed, you just need to print sort of a mirrored dial and datewheel. I agree that OP could spend a little more effort on it though.
