This is what I have it whittled down to, after recent sales. The only thing I might add is an IWC Cousteau on the blue rubber. If it can be wp'ed to at least 6 BARs, I'm probably due for purchase.

(the Pam & Daytona are rarely worn, which is why the time & date is off)

Gio, great collectionand eyecandy detailed pics. :1a:

P.s. the edges of the Daytona bracelet look sharper than the slightly rounded ones on the Subs; is that so and/or up to gen spec?

Do the J12; my wife has worn it non-stop since I gave it to her 3 months ago!

I doubted between a diamond bezel version and plain SS bezel. Chose the SS bezel and did not regret it.

It looks awesome on a sun tanned skin.

I like your pictures very much.

The idea to shoot the boxes is great.

I will add that to mines.

How do you like that wooden Omega box ?

It's my favourite with the Panerai one.

Congrats

Cheers

Stephane

Thanks. Yes, I do love it--just came in Saturday. Going to get the Pam box w/ papers soon--prob from Silix.

you have yo do the j12 its mandatory every women in my family has one :)

by the way did you see my new tourby? i was thinkibng it is your style.

The auction win, if I remember correctly? Yes, that was quite nice, but I just can't do the leather band thing yet. My father would love that piece; a true gentleman's time-piece.

Good eye--I rounded the edges of the Sub bracelets by hand, link by link, with 400 then 600 grit, then a polishing cloth. Time consuming pain in the ass, but worth it. Might try it on the Daytona links, but because the link sides are highly polished, I'm a bit wary.

Gio, get the Cousteau. I know you mentioned that you're thinking about getting it. You should go for it...I have pretty much all the super-reps now, and it's probably the one I'm most impressed with. The HBB is awesome too, but my personal take is that the Cousteau is the best out-of-the-box replica available at this point....

It's amazing. While the Big Bang is more dramatic and it's machining makes it more impressive, probably....the Cousteau is extremely well balanced on the wrist, and it's more comfortable (big time!). The folks at IWC hit a home run with that one. It exceeded my expectations, and my expectations weren't exactly 'low'.

Yeah, it's probably the watch that pictures do the worst job capturing, of all the watches that I've scoped out here that I've later been able to see in person.

The dial seems to get washed out in pictures...but it's a really crisp blue with a lot of natural shine- but then when you add the really spectacular AR, the combination of the light hitting the shiny blue surface while the AR prevents the reflection from causing glare on the crystal is really something else considering the sheer size of the crystal. Really cool....

Good question...I'll try to put the tape measure on it and get a number, but it's likely to be closer to 45mm, I'm thinking. It's big. The way the rubber strap integrates with the case in a tapered way sort of streamlines it and makes it's size more natural.

Any updates?

Thanks.
