DefCoN
I modded the DSN Marina Militare with coffe and brown-sugar, but when I cleaned the dial the "marina militare" letters lost the white color... How can I repaint them ? or who can repaint my dial?
earlgrey-erfurt
hey boy it looks really good, do you wanna have two timezones on one dial? : new and vintage in my eyes the coffee works fine but that s only my opinion helmut

madasboot
IMHO it looks just great! Far better than some praised "professional" work I have seen on RWI. As for the letters leave them as they are now. They look like they should be. If you insist to have them whiter rub a white wax crayon over the lettering. Since they are engraved the wax will fill the cavity and you can take off the excess on the outer surface with something like benzine. best, Marco
Cucumber_Jones
Looks good, my signature is from my angelus project - you want the letters to look aged.

Dizzy
yeah isnt that why you put it in coffee to begin with? You dont want old looking markers and nice new printing... Looks good to me!! Lonnie
DefCoN
Thank you guys! But the letters are really "gold", I need to mod them Soon more photos... Now I'm trying to resolve my CG problem...
rmcsherry
It sounds terrible, but if you paint a DSN dial (the text only) with an acrylic paint, and use a damp lint free cloth to wipe off the paint immediately, it leaves the text white. I did this after re-spraying my dial, and it worked a treat! P.S. Don't blame me if it goes wrong!!
