LordRasta
This may have been asked before..... I know the MBW Jumbo is a "fantasy" watch based on at least 3 different watches. But wouldn't it be prudent to have the seconds hand removed to make it closer to the 3700? I have one on the way, bought from an excellent member who I'm sure parted with it reluctantly, and have read nothing but good things about the MBW version. jeff g
Prudent... perhaps to also have made the correct dial as well. Swiss instead of Swiss Made. Unconnected dots rather than the connected lines which is more like the 3710.etc...etc... The fake of the fake has a corrected dial, 'Swiss'... and still has the seconds hand. So go figure. Some members have removed the seconds hand in order to make the jumbo more of a jumbo. But the fake of the fake is not a MBK watch. The 9 different dial choices are not accurate to a gen PP. Buy them if you like..or not. Buy the MBK...if you want a beautiful time piece....Fantasy or not. Or..don't. At this point there is not a perfect replica of the Nautilus, whether it is a 3700...a 3800...or a 5711. More 'perfect' would be the 3710, with the Roman numeral dial choice. LordRasta
Excellent points jeff. I think I will engage The Zigmeister to remove the seconds hand for me. I just think a watch like that looks "cleaner", less clutter if you will with just the hour and minute hands.
rkdk
Its a two second job to remove it yourself. I did it, and its no problem. just unscrew the four bezel screws, and remove the hand with a hand remover, or a pair of tweezers. very easy. But then you will have the second hand pin visible, which looks odd.

bertieng
Removing the second hand would require removing it, and disassembling the movement freeing the seconds wheel. You would have to cut a little bit of the pin in order to make it sit lower than the minute hand. Then, Go find a 28XX Cannon pinion that is closed top, similar to 6497. Does the 28XX series ever has a closed top cannon pinion? Don't seem to have ever seen one.
