vintagerolex
I contacted Cousins to ask if they had datasheets for the Chinese movements that they sell, but I was told that all the info they had was on their website. Does anybody know where I might get assembly data for any of these movements? Thanks.

offshore
I'm dredging this topic up from the near past, as it came up in a search I did. I was chasing some movement info, and revisited pmwf, as they had some info in the past. This link http://www.pmwf.com/Watches/WatchTools/Gen...reMovements.htm takes you to a page of photos and some info. However at the bottom of the page are links to the Seagull site, tech drawings, and onfo. Hope it assists those chasing info. Offshore
sssurfer
That is great info, offshore, thanks! @vintagerolex: unfortunately there are no exploded diagrams of Seagull movements around. On the Seagull site you can just see a few pics of some their movements. A very common chinese movement is the Miyota 8215 clone, so FxrAndy's advice to look for it is a good advice. You may find it here. Unfortunately I was even unable to identify which movement it is on the cousinsuk website (it might be the DG2803).

ajoesmith
This is copied from watchseek forum and is a lot of info! We enthusiasts are a strange lot. For us it is not enough to know that we have a well-made and reliable watch; we also want to know other details such as where the movement was made.
