Was planning to get the Casino Royale from Silix when he put the SOSF on sale. The Casino Royale is at $200 and the SOSF is at $225...which is the better value or better rep? The review of the SOSF is excellent while that of the Casino Royale is good but there are issues with the Omega watch....which one should I go for? Can anyone offer any opinion, eventhough choosing watches can be a personal thing..........:huh:

One of the dealers told me that there will be a new version of the SFSO that is going to come out in November, dial, case and crystal are the same, just the movement will be changed to ETA-2836 or CN-2836.

What will be the difference from the ETA 2824 to the new ETA2836??

@fivefive

If you are buying Eta Steelfish, go for blue or black. The AR is not as necisarry on the white version.

man... now i dont know which colour to go for, cos people said "go for white"??

i am trying to decide whether i should go for white or blue...

i really wanna know: -

which colour is the closest to the gen?

is it really not necessary to have the AR on the white version??

thanks a lot

the blue on the rep isnt a match with the blue on the gen. i would suggest the white or black...probably leaning towards the black....the white has been said to not be exact to the white of the gen either....cant really mess up black though.

Darned, I was going to go for the blue! Thought it is the best of three and the reviews on the watch is on the blue faced ones.......is the difference from the gen obvious?????

Personally, I like how the white dial looks, so that'd be the one I'd buy if I was to buy one. As for what color is more accurate to the gen, and how important that is, that's up to a person to decide for themselves. Do they want to buy the color because it's more accurately executed, or because they actually prefer that color option? Buying one in black, just because it's the 'more accurate' would be pretty stupid if someone actually prefers how the white looks...

well its not stupid, the reason some ppl buy the SOSF is because it is one of the closest rep to its gen, and if there is a colour that is more accurate to the gen than the other 2 colour, i guess it would be worth going for that since you are spending quite a lot on a rep compare to other rep.

hi Pugwash, is the AR really less necessary on the White compared with blue and black?? thanks

Re-read what I wrote.

It would be stupid of someone to buy a specific color choice solely because it was more accurate, rather than buying the color they actually liked better. Why buy a 2nd choice in terms of color just because it 'looks more accurate'? Other than stupidity, there is only one other reason someone would want to do that. They want to pass if off as genuine. The cost does not even come into the equasion. If someone's spending that price, it makes sense to buy the one they actually like the look of most, rather than 'settling' for something else, because it will be easier to pass of as genuine.

IMO, its not stupid, let's say u decided to spend that much money for a rep, and u went for a colour that can be easily spotted as a rep by others, how does that make u feel??

its simlpy unwise to go for a colour that its far from its gen, and not go for the one that's closer to the gen IMO...

i agre with fivefive. the reason why the steelfish is so popular is because its one of the most accurate reps now. in my opinion its not one of the best looking breitlings, most people want a watch that looks like the gen. just look at the mods they do on their watches for it to look more genuine. so if a dial color is way off, even if the rest of the watch is spot on, maybe its better to go with an other color. but if you really like the look of the steelfish and you prefer it in blue, go ahead. if you just want a perfect rep go white or black.
