watcher
This is dissapointing stuff to hear I tried on a real one today at my local IWC dealer and loved it. The orange gives a much more striking appearance than it's earlier version and has given me the bug now. They wanted 3950.00 pounds for it! Is that retail, I guess so. I will have to think about my dealer options for this one.
Watchmeister
Well, if you want to go gen you can buy it substantially less than 3950 pounds. Readily available here for 3,000 pounds.
Logan
Maybe I got lucky, but my 07 Cousteau from Angus is every bit what I'd expect from a "super rep". The finish is up there with the best 2-3 reps I own and that includes the legendary "closed factory" 2892 Omega 007 which I still believe is the best rep ever made. The inner bezel on mine is a bit jumpy but I expected that, that fact that it moves at all is pretty damm good on a replica. The time setting and dates are as good as any Asian 7750. and the rubber strap is as good as any genuine. The dial on mine has no specs or blemishes. The only complaint is the lume on the dial and hands is very weak. (although no different from 90% of other reps) If you're keen on this rep I'd go for it. Its a bloody awesome watch and while there may be problems with a few, its worth risk in my opinion.
lanikai
Josh called for the watch back...he is going to sort it out. Lanikai, Jawo, I would love to go the Ziggy way but...1) he is not taking up any more work until next year, and 2) Spain is far from Canada...do you think there might be customs issues with watches going back and forth between Spain and Canada? Tempting, anyway... my first arrival from Joshua had problems and he sent out another one immediately and i sent the 1st back.. now all that needs to be done is a trip to Canada next year.. all we have is time..LOL... and it will be worth the trip to Ziggy and the wait... I wouldn't go with anyone else.. look at the pics from members that have got theirs Ziggified.. nuff said..
slai
Tried on a gen 07 CD this weekend and as far as I could tell, the bezel markers between 12 and 5 don't line up exactly with the ticks either.
saber0606
I have the 2006 and 2007 version. I really like them a lot. But like everybody else here I had some problems with 3 2006 versions. The one that I still have has a rotor that scrapes the back. The 2007 version looks better and I don't have any problems except for the not perfectly aligned details. My boss has a original 2006 version. I compared my 2007 version (didn't have my 2006 with me at that time) with his watch and I was really happy to see how good the rep is. What I did notice was that the wood at the back of his watch was far more nice than at my rep. My boss was actually stunned when he saw this rep, he didn't know there were such good reps on the market. So after all I am very happy with my watches. I also get a lot of compliments from all kinds of people.
