kasigi
Bah. Taking a strap off my Big Pilot and the spring bar tool slipped and gouged a big chunk out of the pad of my left thumb I never knew a thumb held so much blood! K.
KB
You know I have come to the realisation that changing straps/bracelets is just not that easy, each time I have given it a go it's taken me ages so yes I can understand how easy it would be to slip and take a chunk out of your thumb, whats more they're sharp little mothers too Ken
chris5264
That actually hurt to read, I feel your pain. I did something similar before and said I would never buy a watch with spring bars, IMO it isn't a great design but there are some cool watches with it, so what can you do? ubiquitous
I know exactly what you mean! Can't recall how many times I've stabbed myself in the thumb, finger or hand, etc. with a screwdriver or razorblade while working on a watch. And sometimes those blasted springbars can be the worst! Rolexman
Said it once will say it again... use a potatoe knife. Much better(and safer ) than all those expensive spring-bar tools. No scratches or marks on strap nor thumb.... Manual (just to be safe ): Edited May 27, 2006 by Rolexman
