jj69 Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 I have a very nice Sandoz (Singapore) sub style watch. The bezel pearl fell out and it's lost. I just need a replacement pearl. I don't want to go through the aggravation of replacing the whole ring, especially as mine is still mint. Does someone sell bezel pearls separately? I'm not too fussy either - I just want something cheap that won't cost $30 to import from Asia.
Rolexman Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 I would like to know the same thing...
alligoat Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 Go to ebay and buy the cheapest bezel insert you can find (with a metal ring), pop out the pearl and glue it into your Sandoz. Ofrei sells illumines dots for $10 but these fit the early subs- like vintage 1680. 1665, 5513.

However, once I have the donor bezel, how do I get the pearl out of it without destroying it?

However, once I have the donor bezel, how do I get the pearl out of it without destroying it? Just press it out from the backside of the insert with a toothpick or small screwdriver. It will be obvious once you see it. If you have a gen or good quality aftermarket insert, the Ofrei dot will press right in with moderate finger pressure and should remain there. Though I usually put a small dab of GC Crystal cement on the dot before insertion as an extra safety measure (but this is optional). And before you ask, the GC cement can be found on Ofrei as well.
UB7 Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 I think www.watchmaterial.com has replacement pearls - not 100% certain tho
