mrandazzo
I would like to keep the thread up to date. Yes, it accept gen crown, but the tube is glued in and threaded very bad. When you unscrew the crown, you can feel something like winding the watch! When you try to screw back the crown, sometimes you can't "catch" the thread on the tube. I would like to report this info: my other issue i had was the crown! at first it seemed to be winding as i was screwing it down, turns out the stem is too short. easy fix with a new stem trimmed to proper length.. but upon reinstallation, the crown itself started to slip while tightening it down and also the threads n the tube are crossed.. not good quality here. i think the next step is to replace the tube and crown with genuine parts, as these will assure it feels good to screw down. mine will not screw down to the case every time. even without the stem installed.. just bad threads most likely due to improper sizing of the tube thickness. there is too much of a gap causing it to fit sloppy.. Today I put some Lithium grease on the tube: its a little bit better, but this won't solve the problem
Tribal
Hello again, The Rep Tube is shorter than the Gen one,so the Gen Crown will fit but i think it's not waterproof. I tested the Rep Crown on a gen Tiube and the inner threads of the crown are too short to fit correctly... My Gen Insert won't fit without modifications, i must shape a liittle bit on the outside and bottom to snap it in.. So I installed agen Tube and Crown, because i broke the rep tube by reinstalling.... The CG's where reshaped to become a better look... I post Pics soon.. mrandazzo
Hello again, The Rep Tube is shorter than the Gen one, so the Gen Crown will fit but i think it's not waterproof. So, if the rep tube is too short, with a gen tube and crown I should change also the steam! Am I right?
Tribal
@Tourby.. You are right about the bracelet, looks good but poor quality... Some screws are bend,Divers Extensions won't work correctly... I think the three piece construction of the SEL's are not correct one piece construction like the real deal where better.. Also the material is too soft.... The stem must not cutted to fit Gen Tube and Crown...
Hydronaut
Is the rep tube also threaded or just glued into the case? If there are no threads can it be tapped or is the hole too big? I have one of these coming and am curious to see if I can replace the crown and tube...
