Got A New Eta Sub Doa, Pics Inside

I got it in the mail today, quick shipment from one of our trusted vendors but it clunked when I handled it.

I opened the case back and found this whats in the pics. I PM'd the seller and will wait to see what he wants me to do, I was actually going to order 1 or 2 more of these.

Anyone know how to deal with this?

Thanks guys but I don't think I follow, what screw and base are you guys referring to?

Are you talking about removing the slotted screw head in the middle of the movt.?

Difficult to say with those pics, I'm afraid...

Here is a pic of what the movement should look like with everything in place. This is from my GMT-Master II.

Looks just like mine but the solid rotor has slipped off the darker colored ring around the bearing.

Should I try just pushing it back on the darker ring or could I possibly damage the watch if I do that?

What holds the big rotor onto the darker colored center piece around the bearing?

I tried removing the center screw with my tiny flat screw driver but no luck. Can't seem to get it loose, it just slips out of the slot.

I had an ETA sub arrive like this. Sounded like loose change in the case. Easy fix. Remove the small screw, remove the rotor bearing, and pressure fit the rotor back in place.

I actually did this w/o taking the screw out but itmay be safer to do otherwise.

Thanks, I got the screw out, dropped it, found it on the floor, then proceeded to do just this, I can press it in with my fingers but it doesn't seem to be sitting flush.

I will try this a few more times before giving up.

Still waiting to hear back from vendor but he likely won't be back on here for another 10 hours.

UPDATE

After calling 5 watch repair/service places I found one that would touch it.

After paying the minimum service charge he was able to get it together, said the rotor was very difficult to get on the center part (bearing?) and that it may come back off again if I were to bump the watch just right.

He said the hole in the bearing was a little off.

Out of pocket for $70 after taxes, so now I'm into this ultimate ETA swiss sub for about $280+.

This was not exactly what I thought I'd end up with when making the decision to spend the extra $100 for a little nicer version without an asian movt. :black_eye:

In Trusty's (Andrew) defense after a couple e-mails after I told him I was getting it repaired at the watch shop he said for me to send it back to him to fix for free but at that point the money was already spent and I didn't want to wait another 2-3 weeks and risk customs to have it fixed for free. I mean the shipping back to him would cost probablt another $20+ at a minimum anyway.

I am still shopping for a Breitling Ti seawolf with the correct bezel with the open 4, many of the vendors now have a really cheesy looking bezel on their Breitling dive watches.
