my watchmaker used a corundum grinding machine and after a polished surface.

then the pvd company made the glass/ceramic/granulate bead blasting and pvd coating.

Rolli, you've mentioned this watchmaker of yours frequently. I hope you realise that guy is a gem. If only my watchmaker were so talented!

I love the buckles. :)

important is that you have to look behind the scenery. i have learned a lot from this board, especially from ziggy.

so i could give my watchmaker a lot from ziggy's know-how. at this point big thanks to ziggy that he give us

so much from his knowledge and experience.

that means many discussions and exchange of experience with my watchmaker and my appetency for the pvd technology and experiences

from the different pvd companies.

in the last 2 years i studied in the watchmaker technology which is possible and which not. so i could give my watchmaker a lot of

ideas and suggestions. so by now we are a very good team.

The input by so many people here is a gold mine, and I'm glad it has served you well. :)

May I ask you, if it's not indisrete, how did you "find" this particular watchmaker? Had you always dealt with him, before your rep watch career, and modding, started?

i believe the most watch friends need a spacial bridge to became a pam fan. one have to be a bit crazy in the head to be a pam lover.

but more and more interested parties find the way to this watch.

Ah nice when that happens! :)

You won't believe this, but my mother informs me that our watchsmith (whom she has known for many more years than I have) had on a Panerai watch when she went to have a watch sized, on Tuesday. It was a destro Panerai, apparently, but since my mother doesn't know about PAMs, she didn't know which model or if it was a rep -- he seemed to suggest to her it was a gen.

Funny. :p
