Bazz Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 As someone who has been intrigued with mechanical watch movements since I was a kid it was only a matter of time before I added a skeleton to my collection. Tourby was great to deal with and it was a very easy transaction, he even had the ratchet and crown wheels blued at my request. It may not be to everyone's taste but I could watch it go all day!
dadog13 Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 great looking skeleton...I am one of those who could stare at the movement for all day long...the finishing of the movement is simply fantastic! you have great taste when it comes to watches!...wear it well!
jkarpas Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 very very beautiful ! wear it well! may i ask you how much it cost? pm me please. thank you
chris5264 Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 Great pictures,,,I need a better camera,,I could never take such close shots.
chronology1066 Posted November 28, 2007 Report Posted November 28, 2007 A beautiful watch, the strap sets it off to perfection. Wear it in good health.
Bazz Posted November 29, 2007 Author Report Posted November 29, 2007 Thanks guys it is even nicer in the flesh as I'm sure Chris could attest. Spent most of the day looking at it but not really taking any notice of the time! Very happy with this strap combo as well, matches lovely with the hands and keyless works cover. @ jkarpas, I think Tourby maybe out of this movement now as he only had a few, best to probably PM him for his price list
Bazz Posted December 5, 2007 Author Report Posted December 5, 2007 Wow, great piece, nice wheels! Bazz - do you know what that is? A genuine Maurice Lacroix movement - taken from an 18K Squelette. Ref No 16807 Thanks the blued keyless works cover, ratchet and crown gear are my favourite parts. Yea it is a Maurice Lacroix movement sourced from a ML pocket watch, as for the price it is probably best to PM Tourby but lets just say it was a lot less than a ML. Jacques Etoile also makes one with the same movements. And a couple more shots,
hambone Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 Beautiful watch Bazz. Congrats and enjoy.
Bazz Posted December 5, 2007 Author Report Posted December 5, 2007 Jup, the keyless works parts - non blued - on mine - bug me, they look ugly. Maybe send it to Tourby to get keyless works cover and gears blued?
HauteHippie Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 Great watch and all, but fantastic pics as well!!
Bazz Posted December 6, 2007 Author Report Posted December 6, 2007 Thanks Chief  actually one of the crystals sent in for AR are off another bezel for this one!
