ajoesmith
I think i have found a contact who can get rep panerai GMT (PAM 29/63) Hands that will fit the ETA 2893 GMT movement. Who needs these? Please post here. If there is enough interest then maybe we can do it

Chicken Manny
Did I miss something? Is this for people building 29's or 63's from scratch? I'm trying to figure out why you would need a GMT hand. Just a dumb question.....
cskent69
What would be great is a corrected 063 dial with the right "A"'s in Panerai and the 24 hour numbers closer to the edge.

I'm trying to figure out why you would need a GMT hand. Just a dumb question..... @ ajoesmith - if you're offering a GMT hand of correct length, then I'm in for 2. One for my 63, and one for the 29 you're going to sell to me. ;-) @ Chicken Manny - the standard rep GMT hand is a tad too long. On my old school 63 dial, there really isn't much room to push the 24 hour numbers out toward the edge - maybe a fraction of a mm only. But the GMT hand does cover the numbers. A slightly shorter GMT hand would be more accurate. See the below pic of a gen... If you look at the 20,21,22 area you can clearly see some space there, and my 24 hour numbers look to be positioned the same. The length of the GMT hand is the issue on mine. Chicken Manny
Thanks Chieftang! I was aware of the length issue so I can understand a gen GMT hand but I was trying to figure out why someone would want a rep hand. Wouldn't it be the same length? If this is a correct length hand then I'd be interested in 3. If they are the same rep hands then I'm still confused....
bwhitesox
Ajoe, Can you confirm if they are the correct length as I am after one of these as well.?
ar0401
I will be very much interested in getting the correct length 063 GMT hand for the 2893-2 with the correct head size. I have the GMT hand for 2893-2 from Davidsen, but although the length is OK, its head is just way too big.
skcheng
Count me in for 2 hands, or 4 if they aren't too expensive
ahchard
i am confused as well... why would anyone need rep hands if they have the watch already won't it already have the rep hand?
Yangui
Bringing back this old thread from the grave, but ajoesmith doesn't accept PM. Is there still a chance to get those hands set?
