  1. Happy Birthday skcheng!

  2. Haven't been here in a while!!! That watch is looking good!!!! Gotta love that movement. It's my fave.
  3. I'll post pics and caliper measurements over the wknd. Gotta watch me some football now though!!
  4. Now is this a watch that one could transplant a GEN 7750 into??
  5. Didn't know that?? How about for the 063?? I just picked up a GEN crystal for a 23A and it's interesting since a hole is milled out of the crystal and inset into what appears to be two layers of crystal glued together. I'll have to post pics. A lot of work went into that crystal.
  6. Count me in for 2 hands, or 4 if they aren't too expensive
  7. I'm happy with a plain movement to stick under my closed caseback PAMs. If you want the movement to look visually like a GEN movement, you're probably better off with an Asian 6497-2. Just mho.
  8. Very cool Marco!! Those look like Cali hands?? Or were they originally for something else??
  9. I think the regular T19 GEN crystal looks great. And when I look at most of the GEN pics, that's what I see. I bought one for $50 from Astorlive and it's really nice.
  10. I would recommend Vac. He does great work. I would think that your problem would be an easy fix. And dare I call Vac a 6497 specialist Contact Vac directly at his email: jorellanes@gmail.com
  11. Buy the caseback tool from Angus. He sells them at a GREAT price and you'll have no risk of damaging your caseback or the crystal. While a big wad of duct tape will remove your caseback, I find it tricky to re-install it securely with that same sticky wad of tape. The aluminum tool from Angus is much easier to use. Best $50 you'll spend if you like playing around with various casebacks and movement mods like I do.
  12. Palp crowns will soon be no more. Also, Jimmy Fu has ZERO desire to make any more crown guards. I must have asked him 6 times in the last 6 mos. I received some Palp/PAM crowns with machining flaws. Missing metal etc.... if you get a good one, they're nice, but if you don't, it's really disappointing. Also, some of the Palp/PAM crowns are threaded at an angle so they install somewhat cockeyed. Your mileage may vary, so please no flames I picked up a few of the GEN/Turkey crowns and had them sent to Vacuum. According to Sir Vac, they are super nice, but really best suited to auto pams due to the thread diameter. They just require some lever modifications to seat properly with the correct distance from the case. Now I'm DEFINITELY in if someone is willing to purchase some true GEN crowns or crown guards for reasonable money. That would be GREAT. My fave PAMs these days are D series and earlier PAMs based on the JimmyFu case. It's truly a higher quality case with better polish/finish/lugs and screws.
  13. How is the "long arrow" different from the standard dial? I did a search and came up with longer and shorter "3's" and stuff but I'm still confused? Is the logo larger?? Is it the L Swiss L vs. Swiss Made? thanks for the info!! I have an 005 sourced from Joshua and my dial looks very similar to the GEN other than the more upright logo.
  14. Hey Arch, I'm not concerned about the genuineness of your 000. I've just never seen a GEN panerai movement behind a closed caseback. Just the ones that we've all seen on open back PAMs. If it has the engraving and looks like the E-G series movement, then I've seen that one before sherwin
