Fireman_Fred Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 Just got my Ferrari 00014 back from K2222 with double sided AR - it looks amazing ! Here are a few pics: The carbon fibre dial on this watch is fantastic - at certain angles, the subdials and Ferrari logo seem to float off the dial ! The only thing that lets this rep down is the strap - it looks the part but is made of cheap... erm... leather ??? What do you reckon? Love it, Hate it ? (I LOVE IT !!!)
its_urabus Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 Love it. whom did you source the watch from?
Fireman_Fred Posted January 26, 2008 Author Report Posted January 26, 2008 Love it. whom did you source the watch from? I bought it from Jay at Silix-Prime.
milsub5517 Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 now get the ultimate strap for this ferrari made from actual Ferrari seat leather by V. ! pm him to see if he has any leather left. How much $ are you into this project so far?
Seadweller4000 Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 Stunning watch! The dial seems really to pop out with that AR. Looks like a different watch, really - I think it is clear now that the white glare on J's picture came indeed from the dial - not from the coating. I wish I'd drive a Ferrari, then I could wear this watch...

k2222 Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 This Ferrari strap look awesome, the best can be for this watch, can anybody tell me if all 3 watches showed by Rolli are same good and accurate?
z3k0 Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 Does anyone know if Ferraris are supposed to have double sided AR or single sided like all other modern PAMs ? regards
Mickey Padge Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 Does anyone know if Ferraris are supposed to have double sided AR or single sided like all other modern PAMs ? regards Most are single, but then, some people double AR their gens too!
k2222 Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 yes this carbon dial deservs for double.
V Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 This Ferrari strap look awesome, the best can be for this watch, can anybody tell me if all 3 watches showed by Rolli are same good and accurate? Gen Ferrari has Single AR.. very subtle. My ferrari is the most accurate of all. The 002 has a date and the font is not exactly the same. Other than this it is ok. The 004 had some issues with the hands I think. Not so sure about this. The 014 had something with the angle of the carbon fiber I think...
z3k0 Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 yes this carbon dial deservs for double. Jakub, have done any Ferrari with singe sided AR ? How does that look, compared to rep crystal with rep AR ? regards
tanya Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 Wow !!! That strap made from seat leather is gorgeous. My best friend is purchasing a Ferarri (car not the watch!!). I am inundated by Ferarri!!!! Makes me wish I bought the Scuderia instead of the Pam 353 Regatta flyback from trusty. I even bought a beautiful black carbon fiber strap for it with blue stitching but it only makes me want that Ferarri (watch not the car) more. If anyone is interested in a swap PM me. My Pam is virtually unworn otherwise I may it up for sale.
Zypher Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 V That is Very Nice strap indeed! Where do you get that from?
V Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 V That is Very Nice strap indeed! Where do you get that from? I make them myself... from a Ferrari car seat I acquired some time ago.. PM me if you want one.
its_urabus Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 dude if i had that seat i would build a base for it and make it my work chair...
V Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 dude if i had that seat i would build a base for it and make it my work chair... Well it was not bought for this purpose.. stipped the leather and throwed away the frame. Sacriledge? Maybe.. On the other hand please tell me who else would think of something like that? Am I the Lord of the Straps or what?
its_urabus Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 true, true, very good idea I agree. maybe you could get some accessory belts from the engine and make rubber straps from them in all seriousness, they look great, and your workmanship is a sight to see. thanks for the pics.
