Whats up with crown guards on the New M Serial Sub

To me they look to have rounded the outside edges of the CG's giving them a more pointed appearance; like they have been over buffed.

I know it's only a small thing but I have always focused on the classic shape of a subs CG's and now they seem to have changed them.

Maybe it's just me...

Just so we're clear, I'm talking about the difference between this edge and this edge.

I've never seen a rounded edge on a CG like this before unless the case has been refinished about five times.

There's no doubt the cg's have a more rounded over- pointed look, harks back to the pointed cg's on the 5513's in the early 60's. Just more proof that Rolex is a moving target.

But I'm with Rosnik, what is that hologram like marking on the case at 9 o'clock? Why booger up a nice polished case?

The watch in the picture still has the protective stickers attached, the stickers give the strange appearence on the crown guards and have the 3D barcode at 9.

No, I

On closer inspection, I see the protective plastic, but it doesn't change the shape of the cg's- especially at the ends.

At least the hologram/barcode at 9 o'clock would go away.
