djtimodj Posted June 17, 2006 Report Share Posted June 17, 2006 The slide rule on the breitlings such as the navitimer is for calculating air speed. You use the outer ring as the start point and set it at the time you start and then read of the average speed at the differnt times. breilings web site has the full lesson on how to use it. even if you doint use it, it still looks dam good !!
