What do you guys think of this one?

The only swiss bit will be the base plate, the top bridges will be all asian.

Ahh... so is that their bait and switch? These guys advertise as Swiss movements, but they're as you described above? Ok, I'm still learning. Thanks for that info.

That's Ruby! Well respected dealer around here.

Thanks arty for clearing that up for us. If I recall correctly, I think I got that link from another thread on this forum.

By the way, Ruby's PAM111H has got my interest peaked and that price.... Any opinions on it? Is there a consensus around here about it? Thanks.

ANY 6497 that has Panerai decorated bridges is using Asian bridges. Not really bait and switch, IMO. The only 100% Swiss 6497s you'll find in rep watches are the ones that come with one of the standard levels of ETA decoration and no Panerai markings.

Hmmmm, interesting. I just followed the link and looked at the photos. Straight spokes on the balance wheel but using the Incabloc anti-shock system. I would tend to agree that movement is a knock-off ETA.

Has someone notified Ruby? I know she's not real technical when it comes to watches, I think it's likely that these are being sold to her as "Swiss" from her supplier...
