jkarpas Posted March 1, 2008 Report Posted March 1, 2008 I went to a great store with preowned watches today... i was looking for a gen in the 2000euros region. I found the above watches: Omega seamaster black with sword hands (nice but small for me tastes) 1000euros. Omega seamaster regatta ( i wont use that feature at all) 1500euros Omega railmaster xxl ( nice and big at 49mm but one drawback, its manual and second the crown is not screw in) And finally he showed me a very nice pam 176 but it was 2700 euros. Is that a good price for a base watch? do you have anything to propose? I tried ebay but havent found anything in eu that i like pricewise. I found some great deals on us ebay but i dont want to risk overseas shipping nor paying customs tax. let me know what you think. ps i dont want rolex
yellomen Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 I've seen base titanium Panerai go for around 2200-2300 euro on websites like watchloungeDOTcom (german based website), so you might get something of that price. If possible for you a gen Panerai would be great...
Corgi Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 A few days ago I went to a local AD, and tried on some of the newest "Tudor" watches. At first, I payed no attention to this brand whatsoever. But I have to say, they have really done something clever here. You can get a solid gold, two tone sumariner-style watch for $2700 Canadian. They feel like very good quality, and the look is amazing. You should investigate them.
HauteHippie Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 How about a nice used Breit Navi Cosmonaute (or other variant)? I've seen many a nice one well within your price range - although I've only noticed them on American sales boards. Here's one going for $3100 USD for example:
