truckarms
Guys I really want one of these but dont know who I should buy from: I am not interested in who delivers quicker or who replies to my emails etc what I want to know is which one is the best value for money. I know movements are the most important bit but can that be all that there is between these 3? Silix Cost: 49euro's Leather strap and Asian Automatic Movement Andrew Cost: $248 Stainless strap and Swiss ETA 2824-2 Automatic TTK Cost:$245 Stainless strap and Swiss ETA 2836-2 automatic movement Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks

r11co
Use your eyes, friend! The Silix one is cheaper than cheap because it is quite inaccurate - bezel colour, caseback design and datewheel colour being some of the more obvious flaws (although peculiarly it has probably the most authentic looking pearl design of all the ones I have seen). Silix have better models than this on their Prime site. As for the other two, they are different models so you are not really comparing like-for-like. The latest generation 42mm Planet Ocean (as sold by Andrew and Aspire) is exceptionally visually accurate (see here). I won't go into the various merits/demerits of the dealers concerned, but Paul/Aspire is selling this piece for an exceptional price and there are plenty of posts regarding satisfied customers of Aspire at the moment. Do be aware of his repair/return policy though. As for the 45mm, I'm keeping my mouth shut Edited June 19, 2006 by r11co
Watchmeister
Apple, orange or banana? Decide what size you want, how much you want to spend and quality you want. Even in reps there is no free lunch.

MAHLER
Not always what coast more is worth more or that coast few it's worth less. I hold both important to trust the experience of the dealer but also to check before buying. There are now very different prices among the dealers. But if some dealers has a big number of pieces to sell I don't believe can check the quality of everybody. And then? It's better perhaps to spend something in more (or something in less) for a piece really checked. The defects have all the replicas and all they are unfaithful to the original one at least in something. You choose the best relationships with few defects and much merits. vric
There is enough information in the dealer review section to make your own mind. Just search review of the dealer you want to buy and the choice will come obvious.
