Anyone have a clue why I cannot upload pics into my posts??

I am not trying to upload anything large (124kb).

There is an existing message in the Attachment Editor that says: "Attachment space used 30.28MB of 2MB" before I even try to upload any pics. It also says "Attachment system ready" right below that. Then I try to upload a pic and I get a failure message that it was too big.

Maybe because you are not a supporter? I think there is a 2mb limit as a member but it goes up to unlimited as a supporter. Already uploaded a bit in the past when you were a supporter perhaps?

Far quicker and easier to upload to say Photobucket and transfer from there

1 GB space if memory serves me right.

Also Image shack is another "free" hosting service.

Also the pics arrive here ready sized and not those piddly thumbnails members have to click on for full size.

Member JIRO did a great tutorial about posting pics from Photobucket, and Pugwash did one

for Imageshack.

If you upload to photobucket and then copy and paste the last (img) link for any pic you should have no problem...

Same thing happened to me a few days ago. Logged in & my mailbox was suddenly full (and locked) too. It would be nice if the system automatically sent out PMs a week or so before your membership renewal was due.
