UncleJay
So here I am, looking through some old parts/strap boxes I found and WOW, look what I found. I remember buying this from Simona at Panerai Boutique in Florence. I must have put it away and forgotten about it. Green croco original Pre-V. I believe only 50 or so of these were produced....what a rare find. Enjoy the pics. Edited March 22, 2008 by UncleJay
peepshow
Holy crap, J! That is simply TOO cool for school! Very nice! How on earth did you ever "forget" you had that bad-boy around? You ever gonna wear it? I'm trying to match that up with a watch..... It would look great on a 003/113 or a 010/114.
slai
Doesn't matter what watch you put it on. The important thing is to match it to green leather pants.
UncleJay
I thought it went with a watch I sold a few years ago, and yes ....... it goes GREAT with a white dial. BTW, I also found a PAM0010 A series T dial in the same box. Ummmmmmmmm

Watchmeister
Priceless strap. But what were you thinking when you bought it? We look forward to pics of it on whatever watch you choose.
Watchmeister
Jay- On that 10A dial - if you don't sell it you should convert it into a franken. After all, you are on a rep forum. Here is my 03 T dial with gen crown and Jimmy everything else. And with only 5-6 pieces in existence, rarer than the gen. And I am definitely losing it. That green croc strap is looking better and better.

UncleJay
What, this dial? I actually remembered the dial and found the strap looking for it. I had thought of selling the dial to fund a large Rep Pam buy .... but I'm not sure now. Edited March 22, 2008 by UncleJay
Watchmeister
Apologies to the members who have already PM'ed Jay for the dial. But we do have to start him off right. I think he is the first member who we have had to lead down the watch food chain.
UncleJay
First, I wouldn't say DOWN the chain. I judge collecting by the "Community" and this one is tops in my book. I have to say I'm impressed by the the contributors as well as the Mods. Thanks to all for all the help and I can only hope to someday contribute as well. peepshow
You're selling yourself far too short, Jay. You've already contributed here and at RWI in your short time 'roung these parts. Yes, you should franken that dial if you keep it! That is, unless you've got a spare movement and Luminor case sitting in a box somewhere, too. old skool
I am not up to speed on pricing and all, but couldn't you sell that green strap and go within jumping distance of a gen Pam?
V
Very nice 'collectable' strap you have there Jay.. too bad it is DAMN ugly and non-wearable I am glad Panerai decided to not produce those straps :
