Scirocco
Hi all, I would like to buy this Carrera Chronograph. Does anyone know the original name of this model and when it is produced/sold? Thanks, Alex
musicale
Never seen it. Fantasy?
Scirocco
I really don't know. These are the pictures I found on www.chrono24.com. One is a Heuer.
musicale
Interesting, I like it. Being based on a vintage Heuer style I bet it's a more traditional size too. Try checking on Watchuseek or something.
Scirocco
With 40mm x 16mm it's not really a traditional size. This model is sold by Andrew and Joshua (amongst others?). They put it recently on their websites. I can't imagine that they would sell a fantasy rep.
Scirocco
Maybe this will help. An original (I hope, seeing the price) is sold on this website: http://www.chrono24.com/web/nl/suchen/u/in...anzahlgesamt=
marrickvilleboy
Maybe this will help. peyups
its nice but when you look closer the movement's date window is round while the dial's date window is square.. tsk.
Scirocco
The question isn't really answered. Problem is that I can't find this model on an official Omega site or in a brochure. For all I know, the guy on www.chrono24.com buys a fantasy TAG from Joshua and sells it as a rare original. Well you just answered your own question haven't you? btw....alot of rep sellers have fantasy watches on their websites. Look around and you shall find. tomhorn
It looks to be a model CV2111.FC6182 from the Classics Series. I believe from about 4 years ago celebrating the 40th anniversary of Carrera. The dial isn't exact. It also came in other variations, the CV211.FC6180 (Black/croc strap) and CV2111.FC6182 (white dial/brown croc). tomhorn
Sorry ... edited my post, try the above numbers ... also, you can see it on the Tag Heuer site by going to the Historical Timepieces section and looking in 2004.

musicale
I saw the gen or a similar model at an AD over the weekend. Nice watch, a bit small for me.
Scirocco
I also decided that this watch isn't going to be a part of my starting collection. I still like it. On Repgeek someone was asking the same question, so I could help him with the gathered information. On Repgeek I now am the "Vintage Carrera" expert
