vlydog Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 As some of you already know, I have a Great White project underway. I already have a set of NOS 580 end links. I have an opportunity to pick up a set of 501's too. Does anybody know if there is an end link, amoung the options, that fit the MBW case better than another? 580, 585, 501B Thanks, Vlydog
mezzanine Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 You're right that the 585's would be 'most' correct, but the 580's are acceptable as well. I've found that the 501's fit the 1680 case better than the 580's I've tried, but that just could be co-incidence.
freddy333 Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 I have 580s on mine, but I agree with Repaustria that 585s would be the best option on a 1665.
cib0rgman Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 585 but how much are those puppies....$$$ By the way I decided to take Oli's challenge and I am committed to make my 1665 as closed as possible. searching for Gen insert 585 endlinks Gen Springbars Gen set of hands and in a near future after market case (Vietnam maybe)
cib0rgman Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 Oli, do you know what are the correct marking on the bracelet clasp??
cib0rgman Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 @freddy333 Say I have a 93150 clasp that says VC, do have any idea what it means Thanks
freddy333 Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 @freddy333 Say I have a 93150 clasp that says VC, do have any idea what it means Thanks Depends on where it says VC. If the VC is where the O1 is on my clasp, then it references the date of manufacture. Generally, there is a letter or 2 (coding the year) followed by a number (the month). I have never seen a VC, so I am not sure what that stands for? Are you sure the clasp/bracelet is gen (rep bracelets are sometimes stamped with non-standard reference numbers)?
