nelly
Just a heads up to all those thinking that the MBW watches are a notch up the quality tree (as I did...). I just had my MBW PP Nautilus serviced by The Zigmeister and it turns out that the movement inside is not a genuine ETA movement at all, apparently it has a genuine ETA base plate but the rest of the mechanism is all Asian..... That just SUCKS Edited April 17, 2008 by nelly
Dizzy
It was only a matter of time.. eventually they will all be asian or asian hybrids as stock dries up... dizz
b16a2
Sorry to hear of this. This is partly the reason I have stopped buying reps as much, I am just not confident that I will receive what I have ordered. I am much more likley to buy the more affordable asian reps now, such as the Asian SOH, or the old Asian Omega GMT.
bwhitesox
I thought MBW's came with the old asian movement.?
b16a2
You might be thinking of the APROO which has the 21.6k 7750? The Nautilus is meant to come with the ETA movement
llsteve80
How did that affect the reliablility? Suppsedly the eta clones are supposed to be ok.
nelly
The Zigmeister said it had a list of problems - Movement defective - would not run with balance [censored] screw tight. Top jewel too far out - pressed flush with main plate. Shock units - Asian parts quality poor Hairspring out of round - fixed. Not exactly a glowing recommendation. dluddy
Who did you source the Nautilus through?
capice
Was it sold to you as being an ETAmovement? If so, what had your dealer to say? If not, it still sucks for not working.....
FasTTaP
My MBK Nautilus also has a bogus movement... very low power reserve
