ryyannon
I thought it would be amusing and instructive to take a little walk down the Memory Lane of both RWG1 and RWG2. Over the years, both forums have had an amazing number of strange, funny, obnoxious, dishonest, brilliant, snarky, plumb crazy and even mysterious members (the list is far from exhaustive) who over an often short or even a much longer period, graced our pages with their contributions and personalites. There were the people we loved and the others that we loved to hate There were still others, such as the legendary JetMid who've earned a permanent place in RWG folklore. So who were they, and what can be remembered about them? I propose that you jog up your memories, name the names and when possible, the oft-forgotten avatars of those who provided us with so many bad, good, ugly and beautiful times here.... Even if you didn't like them, let's try to keep this thread from becoming a hate-fest: time normally heals all wounds, and in retrospect, even the most drama-laden situations can be remembered with humor - if you catch my drift.... :band1: Does anyone remember one of our more hilariously clueless dealers, the inimitable RolexAward and his fabulous offering of 28 jewel quadruple gold-wrapped Shitinerand Rollies? As well as bags of gourmet Indonesian coffee magic electricity-less lightbulbs high-end Mont Bunk felt-tip markers and God only remembers what else.... One cannot evoke RolexAward without mentioning his arch-enemy and nemesis, the Terrible Fire-Breathing Bricktop! Their flame-wars on RWG1 are unforgettable - and better forgotten. RolexAward was totally vaporized, while Bricktop - possibly frightened by the destructive power he had unleashed - did a total personality makeover and re-emerged on RWC as a born-again nice guy known as 'Bricky'! LordRasta
Bricktop...what a character. The best part was his avatar was the actor who played the character in Snatch. I always had the feeling I would back up and step on his shoes. Klink is another character, I think he still trolls around. And who can forget the legendary jetmid with the 50k Patek that he never posted a pic of. That thread grew to like 30 pages and still no pic was ever provided. Bricktop's original avatar was of himself, playing a role in a film whose name I've since forgotten.... As for stepping on his shoes, I always had the feeling that I was already standing on them. Which is to say that before he became 'Bricky', he wasn't the easiest guy to get along with.... Klink Life is good! is a whole other story - a saga really, with various interpretations depending on who's telling it....
KB
Bricky was always one of my favourites, I loved the way he would face off with someone doing wrong. As for RA or even jetmid if you believe jb they were both alter ego's of his. Ken
ryyannon
Bricky was always one of my favourites, I loved the way he would face off with someone doing wrong. As for RA or even jetmid if you believe jb they were both alter ego's of his. Ken Not so - at least for RA: I actually spoke to him over the phone, from France to Indonesia. It was just about the time when Klink had gone missing, and RA claimed to have been in contact with him. Also, and as usual, I was trying to defend someone on the losing end of a collective RWG lynching party... As for JetMid, we all know he was for real....one of our members even met with him. And by the time the RWG super-sleuths had finished, we had all kinds of data on the guy: where he worked, who his brother was, telephone numbers, etc. Johnnyboy is another long story: whatever else can be said, he's the guy who had a large part in getting the Thin Red Line Thread rolling with his idiotic responses to the original poster's idiotic question about whether it was ok to remove the plastic seal with the red lines from the back of his new replica Rolex

ryyannon
Whatever happened to dear, loud-mouthed Slayer? For years, he'd quit the forum in a huff, vowing never to return and then show up a few weeks later. And then one day, poof! When he really got drunk, angry and incoherent, he could be hilarious.... "I bet YOU can take a whole mouth full! I dont hide behind noone, there's ppl over here who know me personally - whom I have met in person. You are the [censored] who hides behind it's (I'm specifically writing IT's!) computer and tells us lies. And who said I'm a guy? As you can see in my signature, I'm a gorilla! Yes, that picture really is ME!" But as mad as he could get, he always remained a perfect gentleman - especially with the ladies.... "Now if you ordered some Al-Quaida Videos and Anthrax, I might have believed your story. I might have even bought that you were taken to Guantanamo and [censored]ed with a nightstick. But the way your story goes, it's simply a LIE and everyone here knows that, dont kid yourself. We also dont need to waste any more internet traffic and discuss this, simply acknowledge it and we are all happy. Or go ahead and post a pic of your door and YOURSELF, naked, with an RWG sign on your belly or a MB cufflink on your clit and I will crawl back into the hole I came from and call you the holy virgin and send you all my rep watches at my expense (if I get to fornicate you)." I'm not laughing at these guys: I really miss them! RYA was another fun-fest, 'suicide' and all.... Unfortunately, no avatar pics left on RWG1 But there's still one of his crazy-a$$ed sigs: Let's rob a bank, give the money to the poor, then rob the poor and shoot the money!
