i bought a two tone bce. inside the crystal the gold is brilliant yellow. outside the crystal the gold is dull and looks more like copper. does it just need to be olished or is this how it should look?

If you buy a gold rep 9 out of 10 you can't polish them as it is only plated gold. Any sort of abrasive will remove the gold. This especially applies to the BCE TT as the gold plating is crap!

Put up some pictures and try to capture what you mean. Since the subdials are going to be a lighter colour, it might not look as bad as you think. But yeah, gold plated reps are a crap shoot.

assuming the color in the photo is correct, the marker on the bezel does look copper.... but it could be a bad pic...

upon further nspection i have determined that my watch ( that i just bought less than a week ago from Josh) is infact a v1 and not the new one. the date font is way off. I am onsidering gettng a lello Datewheel and since mark e I am opening it anway I was thinking that I could put in a new dial.
