Went to one store the guy was very helpful, demoed all the models in my price range, even used my watch to show the close up pics. Damn that really sold me. The detail was amazing on this one sony. But it was sold out. So he checks in the computer, sees the other store has three in stock and I can get one there. Can you hold one for me?, I said. No, but they have three I doubt they'll all sell out tonight. Store closes at 9pm, its about 8:40 and its a 20 minute drive to the other store. So I haul ass over there and make it with about 5 mins to spare. I tell the salesman at the new best buy that I was sent here from the other store for this particular camera, should be 3 in stock. He looks and its sold out. The guy at the other store said you had them in stock. Well the computers must be slow. Check back next week. That [censored] made me haul ass over here to make it before the store closed and they dont even have the freaking camera. Just sell me the display model. Sorry sir can't do that. What about the same camera in the 7.2 mg pixel thingy ($50 more). Thats sold out too. [censored] they had that one available at the other store now its too late to make it back there. Unfortunately you can't always count on customer service to be up to par between the stores for a few reasons. For one, everyone gets paid by the hour. And even if you get an associate that genuinely cares in one store the ones in the other will likely not! So you end up with a tug of war and unfortunately situations like these develop. I'll tell you this. After working at both I will never buy anything at full retail ever again! You can buy the items you want online and save mucho dinero! I apologize for the salesperson not calling over for you. The best practice is to have them call and hold. As for the brick, Well some Ahole customer did that. I have even had MANY chumps try to screw us. You dont think they said they got it "like that". The Man, PM me and I will get you a good deal. I agree with what was said. "Never pay full retail." They have no idea what they are talking about, and it's very annoying when they hard sell the service plan. Staples is the best in customer service. I hauled ass over there to try to make it for closing. Not to run in, pick it up, rip it out of the box and start taking pics right away or anything like that.
