Sanco
Hi all, When I was 19 (aeons ago now...) I was called to go into the italian army and by chance I got to go to an italian military airbase for a visit. There I met this pilot guy who owned this beautiful watch made specifically for the Frecce Tricolori; he wasn't part of the acrobatic squad by the way. Well, I fell in love with Breitling watches since. Not the price though, as price has been the thing (sanity might have played a part in it also ) that kept me from owning one of their beautiful watches since. I waited patiently for the day I would come to some small fortune in order to get me one, but wasn't to be - I never managed to win a lottery and I suck at football and work. I had sort of given up hope until I came across your site by pure chance. Here I learned about replicas' quality and reputable resellers, and after reading a few reviews and general posts on Breitling I ventured "out there" and purchased one from PureTime web site yesterday. I did this because I trusted your general advice; thank you for the wonderful insights into this grand world of affordable dreams. I must admit though that I did it fairly blindly and mainly based on the reviews, and the advice, I found in these fora with regards to Puretime, because if I had to go by their prompt reply to emails...well they leave a lot to be desired in that facet. Let's hope the Chronomat Evolution ultimate edition will live up to the praise I read in here then! Thank you again for the wonderful site
cornerstone
Welcome Sanco You'll have to show us some pics when it arrives.... Oh, and you're still going to need to win the lottery or get better at football - before you know it you'll have a dozen Breitlings!!
Sanco
No chance at neither Cornerstone I'll post some impression as soon as I receive the watch for sure, but I don't think I am savvy enough to work out how to post pics By the way, I have read a lot of conflicting reviews about the 7750 asian movement; is it reliable enough or does it tend to be a fly-by-nighter? bwhitesox
Hey Bro, The Asian movement is a workhorse that runs well. There are a few bad ones but generally they are solid units. Breitling fan here too by the way.
Logan
Welcome, Its good to see another Kiwi here, If you need any help from a local let me know.
cornerstone
Ah, Middle Earth - I get it now! (Logan's hint in no way helped ) I must be slow.... Yeah, on the millionaire front if Lotto and football aren't viable options, that pretty much just leaves you with pimping and owl hustling obviously. I'm not big on chronos, but the experts say the new A7750 is decent - the bad reports generally seem to stem from the older A7750.
Sanco
Thanks to all of you for your welcome and your informed opinions Hummm...the pimping idea is tempting... Also nice to read there are other kiwis in here and also some aussies that like Breitling I just received an email cnfirming that the watch was dispatched today (air mail), so I am fibrillating...my first Breitling!!! Thank you for the offer of help Logan, I may take up on that one day. BTW, are there any reputable resellers of replica watches our way? (it may help to save a fair bit of shipping in future). StormTooper4
welcome young hobbit and good luck with your first watch. Yeah postage costs suck, the best option in my experience is to buy more watches in one hit ;-) as if you'll need an excuse. Enjoy and don't forget to share some Pics ST

Logan
There no serious dealers that I know of down here, just a few collectors who sell the odd spare watch. I've never had even the slightest problem with customs so far though.
Shundi
Welcome Sanco! Congrats on your first (of many, I assure you) rep purchase! May I ask which one you choose? Sounds like a Chronomat or a Navitimer from the 7750 question...
Sanco
Welcome Sanco! Congrats on your first (of many, I assure you) rep purchase! May I ask which one you choose? Sounds like a Chronomat or a Navitimer from the 7750 question... Hi Shundi ST and Double T, and thank you for the kind welcome. I have purchased the Chronomat evo ultimate edition (I guess it means second edition) with black dial and pilot SS bracelet. I can't wait to have it on my wrist!!! Although I must say that the lack of communication from puretime is making me a bit edgy on the deal now...I asked a few plausible questions (water resistance etc.) through their query box under the watch on their website and a week and a half later no response has come from them... Maybe they're really busy, but this is not a good way to do business I reckon. Edited May 21, 2008 by Sanco

I've never had even the slightest problem with customs so far though. Hey good to read we don't have problems with customs over here...unlike the poor dutch! BTW, why would customs be interested in some harmless watch? Is it really illegal to deal with replicas??? Oh my God...I'd better go give myself in at the cop-shop
Sanco
Watch arrived today; stunning! Only a couple of very minor flaws I can spot at first glance. I'll post some pics later (if I manage to work out how to do it). So Angus' honesty is still online and quality is superb, pity for his communication though - not a diddly squat from him to date. Angus definitely drop-ships as watch was perfectly factory wrapped, hence no lube or QC there Maybe he trusts his sources blindfoldedly, perhaps he has put lots of time in choosing them carefully Later for pics...ciaoooooooooo Edited May 27, 2008 by Sanco
Logan
Great choice of watch, the regular layout 7750's don't have too many problems, some even have a bit of oil here and there.
