peepshow
I am in the same boat, I am looking to buy a 111, but where can I find a good strap? Wow. The options are almost endless. Give us some help with a price range/limit, material desired, etc. A "good" leather strap source might not be a source for "good" gator straps, etc. Price is probably the easiest place to start. cyfi
Thanks for all the insight guys. For starters, I am deff looking for a PAM watch. Additionally, I would prefer to get one already moded from one of the members. I am actually willing to spend up to 600 for a 1:1 watch. as for which series, most are very nice, so as long as it is very close to the Gen, I am happy. I was thinking of getting something from Davidson
peepshow
I was going to be the smarta$$ and ask everyone why, since this was posted in the Panerai forum, they were suggesting a bunch of non-PAMs. DSN's 104 is very good. If you're looking for a Historic (handwind) model, I would suggest the 010D. Good luck. Oh, there is no 1:1 PAM rep, at any pricepoint...

Really sorry, I did not see the Topic section when I post. I clicked it on the quick link. If I have $400 for PAM, I will go for 183 + straps. I love the way 183 curve and its crown but mine one is not so good. (Actually very poor. I was fooled by local dealer.) OmegaPOFL
welll....if you're willing to now spend up to 600.. then you should even consider a Little Hero Pam. IMO, i would go for a Radomir 183 then mod it by VAC or The Zigmeister. If you werent intend on buying a Pam, i would have told you to get a Deep Sea (rolex) and/or an Omega UPO. goodluck!! BigCrown
I have tried just about all of them. I would go for a top quality PAM 111 with Swiss movement (hand wind only --- I would stay away from the replicated automatics at first). I would expect to spend around $350 for the watch with rep strap. I would enjoy it in the strap in comes with...and then later buy an OEM strap and still use the rep buckle. My 2 cents! Samurai
Add in a bit more and get DSN's fiddy with Swiss E movement for $460.
hooky
Not all about the classics like the pam111 or pam183 or the Fiddy. How about the PAM252, newest version? Pretty accurate. And with a good AR coating. Spend the rest on a good strap, for instance one from Gunny Straps. You will stay within your budget and it looks KILLER! In terms of dealers, Trustytime/Andrew is a good dealer.
cca7083
I'd get a DSN 089Ti and a gator strap to go with it.
hooky
I'd get a DSN 089Ti and a gator strap to go with it. also a very good choice, great model. And DSN has great lume (relumed so a lot better than standard replume) I guess DSN asks around 430usd.
mdw4
sorry for the newb question, but where can you find quality 111 for $250-250? what about a 112? Cheers, M For 200$ to 250$ you

hooky
imo the Panerai deployments/folding claps are not that comfortable, compared to the deployments of IWC, Omega, Hublot and Breitling to name a few. You gotta feel it to know it...
