Admin Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 FYI: I have just installed a system at RWG that will automagically bump every member who doesn't make any posts within a timeframe of 6 months to a new membergroup called "Inactive members" Now all you lurkers out there don't have to worry. If your account is de-activated, all you will see is a notice that your account has been deactivated and that you need to make 1 post in the activation forum that is visible to deactivated members. Until you do this, all the regular forums will not be visible. Supporting members will of course not have anything to worry about There are two reasons why this is done; 1. To engourage all members to partcipate more, even just with encouraging comments when you find a post you like. 2 For internal use, to see how many active members we have.
Mickey Padge Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 Lets hope all the lurkers who start posting now are not muppets
Admin Posted June 7, 2008 Author Report Posted June 7, 2008 Did anybody mention muppets? ">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">
Mickey Padge Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 Haha classic stuff I really miss the Muppet show from when I was a kid. The one in the theatre, with the joke celebrity interviews etc.... Back on topic, good idea by the way
njespo Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 i truly am more of a reader than a poster...but i will try harder to participate
Guest Sql_pl Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 Muppets? Say their name three times and you know what's gonna happen!
Admin Posted June 7, 2008 Author Report Posted June 7, 2008 i truly am more of a reader than a poster...but i will try harder to participate And that's cool. Many members are lurkers. And all they have to do if their account is deactivated, si to post a single post in the forum that becomes visible to them when the account is deactivated

coolfire Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 <--- Does more lurking than posting these days Nevertheless, you were the inspiration behind my signature...
coolfire Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 Let's not get OT here... But I have to add that I feel honoured to be able to read & enjoy your contributions since RWG was formed...
Admin Posted June 8, 2008 Author Report Posted June 8, 2008 <--- Does more lurking than posting these days You are also a supportin member, so you can lurk all you want. This will never happen to supporting members.
Corgi Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 This is a feature which will likely have no affect on me ;-)
