FYI: I have just installed a system at RWG that will automagically bump every member who doesn't make any posts within a timeframe of 6 months to a new membergroup called "Inactive members"

Now all you lurkers out there don't have to worry. If your account is de-activated, all you will see is a notice that your account has been deactivated and that you need to make 1 post in the activation forum that is visible to deactivated members. Until you do this, all the regular forums will not be visible.

Supporting members will of course not have anything to worry about ;)

There are two reasons why this is done;

1. To engourage all members to partcipate more, even just with encouraging comments when you find a post you like.

2 For internal use, to see how many active members we have.

i truly am more of a reader than a poster...but i will try harder to participate :D

And that's cool. Many members are lurkers. And all they have to do if their account is deactivated, si to post a single post in the forum that becomes visible to them when the account is deactivated ;)
