cschenone
My Latest Acquisition: Ok, so I was moderately skeptical regarding WM9
By-Tor
It's a beauty. Congrats! Yes, the Noob dial is better but I still wouldn't bother swapping it in (except if you already have a spare and can do it yourself). WM9 dial is ok. The cg's need some work... just straighten the insides and you have heck of a nice Sub. PS: The SELs don't seem to fit that well. But maybe it's just the picture? cschenone
PS: The SELs don't seem to fit that well. But maybe it's just the picture? By-Tor, Thank you. I probably will do the dial swap down the road. You are correct about the end links. I need to play around with some different spring bars as there is a bit of slack. -Chris
Stephane
Hi Chris, Thanks for sharing. You make some interresting and fresh comments on this baby. Like you, I have bought almost every sub available from "our" delaers here. I will follow Tribal's opinion and say that this WM9 Sub is probably the best one we ever saw. I have one question for you and the membership: where and by which factory are WM9 subs made I mean, obviously it's not a Noob nor a MBK Cheers Stephane

That is the first Series witch has Bezel Assembly like Gen but no engraved Rehaut. Also the Dial is from the first batch with his typical flaws. The newer MBK 2008 with engraved Rehaut is the same Base. I will compare the cases when Eurotimez Subs arrive. Hope MBK will makes step backward and sell them with no engravings in the future. alligoat
Nice write-up, Chris. Certainly for $370 you got a good deal. And I agree, trim the cg's, the Clark's crystal and the gen insert and you've got a very nice watch. Certainly 99.99% of the people will never know it's not a gen. If what Tribal says about WM9 being an MBK case- Eurotimez is going to have his hands full with his new Euromariner
cschenone
Installed a used gen insert (note scratch at 3rd tic) and sanded crown guards. The bottom one needs a little work still  [imghttp://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa278/cschenone/DSC_0010-1.jpg] Next week "Noob" dial. - Chris
