how do you change a balance wheel?

I see how it goes in, there is a jewel that attatches to the pallet fork, but do I need to rotate the wheel around to add tension to the spring, or just put it in at its natural orientation?

Changing a balance isn't hard. But first it has to want to change...

You do not need to create any tension, just see that the jewel goes in between the pallet fork, mostly it is oriented that way already.
