yaron Posted July 5, 2008 Report Posted July 5, 2008 This SMP was AR'd by Jakub and the crown and tube are gen after the crown & tube that came "out of the box" were broken.
P4GTR Posted July 5, 2008 Report Posted July 5, 2008 What a beautiful watch. And the pictures... Sinful. Lani I think you may have flown the coop bud! I'm dying for a non-chrono version. The differences/threads though are enough to make me mad right now. Any shove in the right direction for the non chrono 2220~80 would be really appreciated as I continue to dig/search my way towards the grail. (I'm on your guide in a seperate tab as I type this BT) As far as grail... This little page, has taken up 90% of the real estate in my dreams. So close, so far.. I want to do dirty things to make it possible. http://www.omegawatches.com/index.php?id=286
Chino Posted July 5, 2008 Report Posted July 5, 2008 that makes it even easier. excellent! thanks by-tor I just hope the guys at customs have forgotten me. =( cheers.
f5mando Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 I pretty much only wear this, my (gen) SMP, or my anniversary sub these days!
Jimster Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 I love the watch but wish they'd make the same quality rep with a black dial and insert. Jim
By-Tor Posted July 7, 2008 Author Report Posted July 7, 2008 I love the watch but wish they'd make the same quality rep with a black dial and insert. Jim The black dial version has a tricompax layout (subdials at '9, '6' and '3). It has already been replicated. The version is as good as it can possibly be. The tight subdial arrangement simply can't be replicated with the current rep movements available. As usual, the Omega Guide has a small overview of the black version.
KevinCa316 Posted August 27, 2008 Report Posted August 27, 2008 ehh.... i love the look of the SMP too much to have all that crap on the face. the SMP by itself is beautiful, simple, elegant. everything else on there just ruins the look for me. the daytona on the other hand i think looks good and the only reason i like it is BECAUSE of all that crap on there. i dunno, dont ask me lol.
Nightstroker Posted August 27, 2008 Report Posted August 27, 2008 I love that watch.... But I prefer the older model with the solid sword hands.... The Daytonas are sweet....but this is definately coming in a real close second....tied basically....
