JJFlash
I am unsure how to properly pronounce these descriptors of fine Belgian ales. A Belgian Dubbel - is it Du-bell, or is it Do-bull? A Belgian Tripell - is it Tri-pell, or is it Tri-pull? Or is it none of the above? Finally, can you send me a case of Westvleteren 12 (yellow cap)? Thanks,

JJFlash
Could be Double and Triple..................................... Ken Right you are there Ken. Belgian beers: Blond Ales Golden and Strong Ales Dark and Strong Ales Dubbel Tripel ...and yes Dubbel's and Tripel's are higher alcohol beers compared to Blond and Golden Ales, not really 2X or 3X stronger, but higher alcohol never the less. ...but how do I pronounce them in the true Belgian tongue? Thanks,

Thanks, That isn`t easy to explain in writing. And although the belgians and the dutch speak the same language there is a difference in accent. I could talk to you on msn and give you the dutch prononciation if you like. Btw i took a picture of some bottles in my backyard.

ryaku
I love trappist belgian beer. My favourite ones: - rochefort - chimay (blue) - kwak - leffe Unfortunately i've never had the opportunity to taste westvleteren beer but i hope i'll do very soon. Is it so good? p.s: i also love irish stout especially during summer months, Murphy's rulez
