Tom
Just received an all ceramic chanel J12 chrono with jap quartz from a respected dealer. There are a couple of things wrong with it which I can definitely live with - firstly the bezel is just slightly misaligned. Apparently this cannot really be adjusted and I don't want to send it back because of that. The thing that I have noticed is that on the front the dial is wrong. The dial should say CHANEL J12 Automatic Above the hands and then OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED CHRONOMETER around the subdial at '6' Mine doesn't say Automatic (I can live with this) then it says CHRONOGRAPHTIME at 6!!! Has anyone else got one like this. What do you think? It's a horrible mistake, but maybe a lot of them are like that. Will people really notice? What do you think? Samurai
Not sure about this mate....ask the dealer to replace the watch. I had gotten a ladies Louis Vuitton for my wife some time back...the dial said @ the bottom "SWISS WADE". Sent it back and got the correct dial. Tom
Pics over words Sorry - here it is. Check out the misaligned bezel and left hand subdial hand. Not much but enough to annoy. But the main thing is the writing. It just doesn't make sense!!
slickdick
What about the pics of the collector you got it from, is it gronographite on the pics also, or is it spelled correctly?
Chronus
If you purchased the quartz version, it won't say automatic on the dial.
Tom
If you purchased the quartz version, it won't say automatic on the dial. That is a very good point and one I hadn't thought of!! Does Chanel make an automatic chrono? in which case do they make a quartz chrono? If they don't I wonder why people buy the very expensive swiss quartz versions? anton
They make a J12 Chronograph. example: They also make a "superleggera" edition but it's just a bicompax version. Both are based on the 2894 and I don't think they've made one yet because it would be too thick if it used a 7750.
fakemaster
They don't make a quartz except in I beliee a 33m or some weird size. So they just made something up to put on the dial which made a quartz situation worse.
Chronus
I think the men's 38mm version is the non-chrono with ETA movement, most of the other non-chronos are smaller and quartz.
