Put down watch sample and claim $10 for the value! I do it all the time!

O...and to make it a little safer, have it registered and send that # to the other end by PM or email!

Another option is to list the value at $10 and list it as wrist watch, returned for repair. I have done this several times without any issue.

Cheers!

Sooooo.....

took the watch into the local USPS office with customs dec and registered package form filled out... the desk clerk entered the details into his computer and it returned a message saying that watches are specifically prohibited from being shipped to China!! he called his supervisor and she confirmed that if i were to send it, US customs would, on seeing the contents listed as "watch, returned for repairs", send it back to me...

anybody else had this happen ?

Did you mention the brand of watch in your description on the declaration?

You might find some specific restrictions apply to Polex.
