You might need to check your equations Jon, I got eighteen months+ and going strong.... ;-P Yes, point taken- in fact I have a spare 7750 as a donor given I expect it likely the saltwater has cused a greatly reduced life expectancy. My watchmaker tends to think it is unlikley to deteriate further though give the chemicals he used in the ultrasonic cleaning and the lube on reassembly. Time will tell.

You may like to edit your post- anyone who plugs the tracking number from your photo into ems will know who you are....

Preferably get the back off and to a watchmaker fast... When I drowned my daytona I called my watchmaker to find he was away for a week. He told me to undo the crwon and pushers and sit it somewhere warm (in my case on top of the metal enclosure for a fish tank light) crown up and drop it around to him when he got back. All up it was over two weeks between getting wet and getting fixed. No drama's other than needing new hands and dial, in my case it was salt water and there was obvious corrosion blisters on the hands and subdial rings.

Maybe post a wristy (you with the UPO) and others who own two or 3 models subject of your concern will be able to comment. I have found how they look in a opic and how they wear (watches in generally) can be very different to what you might expect.

True for me Ajoesmith, actually just read my post and I think we have the same experience- EMS china prior hitting the ground in AUS then Auspost tracking is around 2 hours ahead.

Your right Freddy but when there are bigger priorities and few people available to process the cargo our goodies are a long way down the list... Imagine an Xray operator who has the great job of looking at EVERY ITEM on the belt.... No way he/she can stop and put every package aside with one watch inside- and if he see's 3 or 4 in one package and they are all different shapes and sizes well that's just 3 or 4 cheap chinese novelty items (you will get the benefit of the doubt cos other contraband is higher on the customs agenda)..... 4 that look identical in one box and a pattern of consignments to one address now there is a package worth having a little look see at.... Maybe they will even let it go to you with the tape on the outside to say they had a look but you can almost bet on it that the next one heading your way will get a good look at.

Jun 29, 2008 2:49pm CHINA Item lodged The Auspost tracking will show nothing prior the received and waiting clearance entry in AUS, EMS china will show lodgement and two received by handling centre type entries. Time in transit (CN to AU) has never been more than 48 hours for me. Once in AUS the Auspost website will be several hours ahead of EMS china. The longest I have seen an item with customs is 24 minutes. Btw- after your first couple of items you won't even bother checking the tracking........ Trick for new players is that its a waste of time checking tracking for 2 days (often more as certain items spend extra days in transit by road in china before posting) after you get your tracking number. Collectors I have bought from have access to wads of EMS dockets pre issued to their errand runners so can provide the tracking info several days before the package hits china post.

Did you mention the brand of watch in your description on the declaration? You might find some specific restrictions apply to Polex.

The Noob TT Sub really is very nice. Better than MBK, imho. My review watch already went to a new owner, and he's extremely pleased with it too. Pretty convinced there was no deception in the transaction- collector quickly advised he had forgot to advise his runner that I was after the noob-TT, the website order was for the standard TT and I requested the noob version by seperate e-mail. By-Tor did you have to repost that pic? Arrrrrgghh!! ;-P You have encouraged me to try and take a better one now....... ;-)

My ongoing reluctance to purchase a TT Sub was significantly weakened following By-Tors pictorial review of Eurotimes offering. I hassled my usual collector who, despite not having it on his list of usual offerings kindly agreed to source one for me. First delivery was the traditional offering, TT wrapped sub and when I opened the package I just couldn't get over how purple the dial was.... Looked at By-Tor's pics, the watch, the pics and thought "hmmmm this is not good"! Yes, the rehaut, winding crown and gold colour were not what I expected but I just couldn't get past the dial colour!!!! Took the band off and the magic F serial wasn't there- arrrggghhhh!!! Quick call to the collector who confirmed wrong watch sent- 4 days later and the noob is with me :-) It's hard to see in the picture but indoor lighting really shows how good the noob offering is, 2836-2 inside. Rotor was loose but I almost expect that. There is also a BIG difference in the band endlinks, non noob version has rounded lumpy finish and gold section is obvious plating- noob looks like seperate peice in centre with very clean edges like gen. Heavy scratch test on spare link (VERY deep gouge) revealed 14K+ gold content. Not saying links are solid (I don't know) but likely to be very durable! Quick WD40 followed by car wax on the band, silicon gasket treatment and I am VERY happy! Thank you By-Tor!!!

If you go down the road of looking for a local watchmaker- many are likley more familliar with the low grade reps and from past experince know it is more hassle trying to argue the point with a whinging client who is crying cos his POS rep couldn't be repaired despite best efforts due to crap movement and no spare parts availability. You will discover, in many cases that once they find there is an ETA inside they will happily take your business. Hope all goes well...

LV arrived today, noticed clasp missing pin after getting plasic wrapping off. Sorry for bad pic but should give some idea of what is missing. Any idea if this part is specific to watch or likely to be available locally? Am sure collector will help but hardly wortg the postage for one 'pin'. Cheers Jimmy

Funny Story? This has to be a rev up! Lets hope your life isn't an ongoing saga of you spending money you haven't got to buy things you don't need to impress people who are never going to like you anyway! I'm suprised you didn't accidentally kick the mop bucket over on the way out of the bathroom after deliberately soiling the seat.....

I have five A7750's, 2 in daytona's (both sec @6), HBB, BCE, and PAM 250. One of the daytona's gives me greif but I am assured by my freindly watch maker that the extra gears are the cause of the problem. The latest daytona (noob factory version) runs beautifully. The BCE feels dodgy when setting the date or winding but kepps good time. HBB and PAM250 are without issue. Yes, swiss 7750 will feel nicer when setting the time (A7550 feels a little sloppy- obvious free play) My watchmaker has serviced all and while they arrive in various states of cleanliness and lube he commented that they are impressively made given what they are and no reason to suggest I shouldn't get long term service. So far as your don't use the chrono's comment- my watchmaker explained that there is less strain on the movement with the chrono's running. Something about a clutch contantly slipping when stopped. Will ask him to clarify next time I am there, he did show me the 7750 from the dodgy daytona completely dissasembled and explained what all the bit's did- guess I should have paid more attention.

I have the light version with PVD bezel and no AR with 28.8K A7550 (sticker on rotor). Am very happy with the fit, finish and overall accuracy- it's not the model you are chasing though. Flick the collector(s) of your choice an email re datewheel.

Yeah, you may be right Rodwc. Personally I would be uncomfortable with an A7750 in a Gen but we are talking reps and I am after best accuracy, performance and value. If my friendly watch guy had of said the A7750 was pox and likely to throw a leg out of bed I would be happy to go Swiss in nice reps.

Every question you may have concerning the BCE ultimate (in fact the full history of BCE reps) ih here http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...hl=bce+ultimate and elswhere on the forum. Im not saying 'use the search button'- but I did and helped me with my BCE purchase decision. My watchmaker, rolex certified and rep freindly has helped me out with a few A7750's in various watches. When my Daytona went for a swim and stopped I had the opportunity to see an A7550 fully pulled down (including the ton of extra gears that look after the subdial rejig) and he explained that while the swiss movement was generally nicer in the fit and finish department he was amazed at how good it was. In fact he suggested that he would be suprised if it proved any less reliable in service to the swiss (obvious problem with extra parts in the daytona excepted). My Navi and BCE have both performed exceptionally well (within 2sec after regulation). One arrived a little dry and dirty- not sure if you may avoid this with swiss. Same with the rice powered daytona's, ss version was nicer inside than the TT, maybe a different factory? Overall my confidence in the A7550 would make it hard to justify the Swiss price diff.

Handy directions, now I just need to work out how to get to Sheng Zhun LuoHu... Several I know have been to the markets, usually return with low grade crap or when they get lucky (these guys don't know watches well) and fluke a good purchase price paid isn't greatly less than collectors here offer.
