MiguelCadiz
Dear friends. I'm planning to mod a noob case with the following mods (getting a no date submariner): -14060 crystal -a much better insert -14060 dial -drill lugs (I've already started and it's p*** in the a**!!!) Will the crystal and dial fit into a noob case? Once again thanks in advance for your more than prompt responses.
By-Tor
This is a mod that I'd definitely want to see as Noobmariner has perfect rehaut depth for the no-date model. Best of luck... and keep us posted!
chefcook
AFAIK the gen 14060 crystal won't fit a noobmariner. The cyclops can be taken of the noob crystal quite easily. Dial will fit the case, but not the movement. I am collecting parts for doing the same thing
Sir-Lancelot
Yes. Just remove the cyclops from the crystal you have. Get a genuine crown / aftermarket or gen tube. The Noob crown is too BIG. Cant wait to see your results. I agree with By-Tor the noob case does look like a great base for a nice 14060, just needs some lug holes.
mrandazzo
You sure the gen dial will fit the case? Isn't smaller?

chefcook
You sure the gen dial will fit the case? Isn't smaller? actually I only tried the 16610 dial, but that fits just perfect. According to the 1:1 pics in the current Rolex catalogue the dial in 14060 and 16610 should be the same size...
mrandazzo
I just found this ebay item => 130236928107 It says dial size is 26.85mm. So, what about the 16610 dial? By the way, the dial auctioned, looks strange (the 6 hour marker to close to swiss made), but not like the rep one. So I guess it's gen...maybe a redial? Experts, please chime in and solve the puzzle
fakemaster
The dial should fit. And I believe there is a tutorial somewhere on the mag removal.
mrandazzo
As Tribal said here LINK The dial is smaller....the bezel insert is also smaller, like the seadweller. So the bezel and the case should be smaller too.
chefcook
I'll check the 1:1 pics I have and the diameter of my 16610 dial this evening.
