Jaymoi
Hey All, I am looking to buy a lovely dinner jacket from china, and when i asked for sizing info on a Medium and Large jacket here is what i got: "The jacket measurements are the following: M: chest:92CM/clothing length:68CM/sleeve length:63CM/shoulder width:40CM L: chest:96CM/clothing length:70CM/sleeve length:65CM/shoulder width:42CM" When i go onto a measurement converter online it tells me that 92cm = 37 (approx) inches. WTF, how does this make sense? No ones chest is this small on the planet, unless you're Pee Wee Herman! In plain old old english (UK) english that is, i am a jacket size 44 regular. Can anyone please help me out? Ta! Moi
rodwc
Clothing sizes in China don`t appear to resemble any Western sizes. I bought quite a few things on my visit jackets/shirts. Forget the lable sizes they all measure very small. Chinese people are smaller frame sizes than us, in OZ, obeastity is the reason. ( Too many fat people eating junk food ) Maybe Kenberg can give you more info.
KB
44 R is 54/38 Euro and thats what most Chinese suppliers use. Safest way is to give them your chest and waist measurements in inches and be prepared to take it to the tailor when it arrives. Ken
Jawo
China manufactures go by European sizes, not US. The correct Jacket/Suit size to ask for is 54/38. I take the same jacket size as you so that should work. I have aquired many suits from Kenberg and this measurement should be fine. Clothing seems to be a little [censored] up in regards to sizes when comparing US to European. If you are getting a t-shirt and typically wear a x-large, you should ask for a XXL. Dress shirts should be 17 1/2 if you normally wear a 16 1/2 - 17".
