Another Noob!

Hi all,

For your consideration is/are my greetings. I've been hangin around the forum for a couple of months and was recently prompted by admin to post- so here I be! Thanks for having me. My re-obsession with watches was rekindled by a co-worker's incredible collection of old military watches (Smiths, Hamilton, Omega, CWC, etc. and vintage Rollies.) What floors me is where vintage prices are since my last querries: Tudor Snowflake $500 in '98 now routinely seen North of 3g? (I also understand that the pummeling of the dollar hasn't helped..) At any rate, in the last year I've subtracted an incredible amount of dough (I made the mistake of tallying it up ) and added a whole mess of new pieces: a trio of Yao's MkIIs, a '64 Tudor Sub, an old Benrus Super Compressor Ultra-Deep, a Singapore Sandoz Sub (for future MkII hand/dial transplant) and then stumbled upon this forum and entered the world of Reps: an MBW GWSD from Eurotimez (smooth transaction- thanks Chris!) and a franken 5500 Explorer Precision- with which I hope to place a 2846- soo much easier in print! We'll see, found some notes on what's needed. With a little luck and a fair wind.... Alright, I'm gonna shut up now. Thank you for your time (and the SEARCH function ) Happy Hunting!
