"Sandy" Radiomir

Thanks, fellows!

@mjmurphy: that look was obtained by painting the dial with Fernovus spray paint, the same used to protect outside iron objects from stain and scratches.

Also the brown dials of the other two gold watches are painted with a spray paint of the same line, but the "sandy" effect looks much more evident with the gray paint than with the brown paint.

All the watches are fully relumed with Superluminova. But this one is 50% C1 + 50% C3 on the dial, and 100% C1 on the hands, while the other twos are 100% C3 on both the dial and hands.

Next steps on all: double AR coat and improved cyclops (the golden Luminor already has them).

I also have a project running for improved datewheels for the Asian auto, but I don't know what will come out in the end.

I am now heading towards having the case beadblasted. I am just very unsure on whether to leave the bezel (and maybe also the lugs and crown) polished.

What would you suggest, guys?

In the meanwhile, another two pics with a new strap:

@sssurfer,

that's a difficult decision. Maybe i can add another option to leave the crown and lunette polished and the rest blasted.

That would be my choice

Looking forward towards to final result.

Thanks for your replies and appreciation, gentlemen!

I was also asking for suggestions, so even double thanks to Cats for letting one. :)

Decision taken. It will be beadblasted case and lugs, polished bezel and crown.
