whitestripes
So I just got the famous noobmariner, and what can I say, I love it. This may be the strangest thing said on a REP forum, but I don't really want all the expectations that go into wearing a Rolex, as I'm a bit young (early 20s). However, the 40mm case is simply perfect and I love the design. What would be perfect is if I could just change the "Rolex" on the dial to "Tudor." Inaccurate, but if someone sees the dial the first thing out of their mouth will be "is it a fake?" Do these exist? Not looking for a snowflake tudor or similar, just want a semi-believable sub. Don't really want to get a Debaufre, at $442 they are too expensive.
USMC8404
If you just want a very nice watch and don't care about the name on the dial check out this link on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/SUBMARINER-DIVERS-WATC...7QQcmdZViewItem This is Homer's ebay store. He is one of the trusted dealers on this forum. I have three of these watches, two subs and the GMT.
chrgod
The Tudor Hydronaut replica might be what you are looking for? http://www.a88time.com/index.php?main_page...x&cPath=228 Or, you can check out the Longines Hydro conquest chronograph. That is a relatively cheap watch as gen, and might be a good choice for a young guy. It is on my list... http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...amp;hl=conquest
GMTII
I had a Tudor 40mm Sub (Blue). I sold it for $2200 on eBay about 3 years ago. The nice thing was...NOBODY replicates a Tudor. So everyone is facinated by it and knows it is real. I had a gen Rolex sub bracelet on it...not the flimsy folded link Tudor. I upgraded to a gen GMT II.... Then added a Serti TT Sub (gen)... I thought $2200 was geat... since I paid $750 for it and wore it 10 years. Now I have seen lesser ones go for $3000.

One4adventure
Re the Sandoz sub, there is at least two versions sporting the same name. The one depicted above is a Hong Kong and the preferred one is the Singapore version for reasons I cannot remember......the Singapore has a raised logo on the dial.
