vlydog
Here we go again, another sub project. I already own a Gen 93150 bracelet and I am wondering if it would be suitable for the WM9 16610. My source, http://www.watchspot.net/tudormodelno.html, has both bracelets listed. From what I have seen it looks like the bracelet may have changed after the 16610's initial release. Would it fit and would it be a travesty to use my 93150 for WM9 sub project? Thanks
ubiquitous
vly- For a WM9 Z serial, you'd need a 93250 bracelet with the SELs.
w.genzo
I had a gen 93250 on my WM9, but it doesn't fit perfectly on the SEL, there's a small gap between the lugs. Stephane also told me that a gen 91350 doesn't fit on his WM9, too much space between the SEL and case. Here's mine on 93250 bracelet: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=69744 A WM9 bracelet is the best fit
Stephane
Vly, The guys here told me about the correct bracelet for the Z serial. It is a 93250 BUT without engraving on the last link. So I would not change the bracelet at all but focus on the other parts: gen dial, gen crown/tube, gen crystal, gen insert and why not a gen bezel. The list is huge so why not sell your 93150 and get some cash for your new project? If it wasn't because of an opportunity I couldn't miss to get a gen, I would have kept my WM9 and add the crystal and bezel to it in the end. Cheers Stephane
alligoat
When the 16610 came out in 1988-89, it had a 93150 bracelet w/ 501B end pieces, lugholes and a tritium dial (Swiss-T<25). The 16800, 168000 and 16610 were all available for a short period of time (R serial#'s). Tritium was discontinued around 2000, SEL's came out about that time, before or after- I don't know exactly. The lughole case went away around 2003-4. One of the reasons I'm eager to see the Eurotimer w/ lugholes is because I'd love to recreate an early 16610. I realize the engravings might not be correct, but a gen tritium dial, maybe a vintage tritium insert and hopefully a 93150 w/ 501B's which fit well would complete the package- oh and a Clark's 295C w/o the etched crown (Rolex started the etched crown around 2005-6). But I'm still waiting for the Eurotimer with lugholes.
