Mickey Padge
Think this is the same piece? Deep Sea No, the Honpo one looks like it has the correct two tier rehaut, and maybe a ceramic bezel too?.... The link you provided is for a very, very poor rep, wrong in so many ways. The fact it cost $177 is amazing, what a rip....
robertk
Think this is the same piece? Deep Sea No, Honpo's bezel is much more accurate...also notice the difference in the movement pics

ubiquitous
LOL... These new Deep Seas all look the same to me. Also, seems that none have the 8mm crown or 21mm lugs either... The Asian '2836' these come outfitted with is worth a chuckle or two tho.... Edit: In looking at Honpo's again, that crown does look a little bigger... So, maybe it is 8mm? Mickey Padge
This rep is still flawed though, the case and lugs are all wrong... Gen: Rep: A step in the right direction, but still not correct....
Kahn
It's a rep......see my review here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=82297 One thing, I reaaly enjoy this cheap, highly inaccurate rep! Great size and weight. I don't look at it as what it's NOT but I wear it for what it IS. All the diehard Rollie fans just ripp this one up, but hey, each to his own. I LIKE IT. ubiquitous
I have to admit that I'm still not sure what the fascination is with this one... But I can appreciate the innovation that Rolex has implemented into the design (that clasp (gen) is sweet).

Even if they "1:1" replicate this Rolex, I will not buy it, but just enjoy the other members posts of it... Cheers!
freddy333
Looking at the profile views, Honpo's appears to be using a standard SD case, which is wrong for this model I saw this the day he added it & I started writing a new thread about it, but as I was copying some of the pics over I noticed the case size being wrong, so I abandoned the idea & decided to wait until someone gets all the major parts correct, which would be alot more newsworthy. Watchmeister
Ubi- The fascination is that Rolex finally made a watch that the 44mm guys will wear.
poopypants
dude... that case is nowhere near the correct thickness nor shape of the deep sea... the sad thing is, the SEL's fit like old sub cases (above the case like the yachtmaster) and it looks like they are matching the old style sub/sd's where it is recessed into the lugs... we will probably be into 10 different versions before they get this one right... Pugwash
Now that's what I call a crappy 2836 copy!

There's definitely something to be said for big watch market share While everyone's already been cashing in on this concept, I suppose that it's about time Rolex showed up to the party! Excellent point, W. we will probably be into 10 different versions before they get this one right... ...if ever for that matter...
tenacious_b
yeah, the case is still wrong. I heard from one of our dealers late last month that we'd have a Deep Sea Super rep inside of 6 months.
