New SMP case?

Is there any news about a new SMP case being made? Considering the revenue a CORRECT case could bring to a factory, surely one of them must be considering. All opinions welcome!

I've not heard of anything. Problem is, that whilst a few of us would welcome a 'correct' case with HE valve in the right place, and a good case back, I think that this watch may have had its day. I doubt that they would shift many units, so it wouldn't be worth the while. Just my 2c!

I disagree. With the exception of the "perfect Sub", a perfect SMP rep would likely be one of the most popular watches that could be made. A "must have" for every collection.

Accurate SMP to the standards of the Skyland etc... would sell very very quickly!!

I'd be in for one. Bring back the old 'closed factory' piece, and I'm sure it would be a definite hit.

As has been pointed out in a previous thread, the amount of different watches that could be produced FROM ONE SINGLE GOOD SMP case design would earn money for a factory/dealer which in my opinion would equal or even better the profits gleaned from WM9 or MBK Sub due to the varying Omega models which would fit such a case. All we need is the correct case!

Build it, and they will come!

We're talking about one of the most well known and most popular watches in the world here. Why do you think it wouldn't sell? The only reason that I can think of is their (quite) low prices in the preowned gen market.
